Simulation Disclaimer
Our products are independent recreations developed through original research, architectural analysis, and engineering. They are not licensed, approved, or otherwise sanctioned by the manufacturers of the original hardware.
The sonic characteristics of our emulations โ including hardware-accurate imperfections such as aliasing, DAC noise floors, and filter behaviour โ are the result of our own analysis and implementation work. Any resemblance to original hardware behaviour is intentional and achieved entirely independently.
Interoperability
Some of our software works with hardware or services we did not make: RedMatrix controls Focusrite Scarlett and Clarett interfaces, SwitchYard manages RouterOS devices, and LaterLens reads the YouTube page your browser has already loaded. These products are independent works, built by our own analysis of publicly observable behaviour. They are not supplied, approved or supported by those companies, and nothing here is an official client for any of their services.

Factory preset data included in XCent is derived from the original Yamaha DX100 ROM. We believe this constitutes fair use for the purpose of accurate emulation and historical preservation.
NomAIc plays Nomic, the self-amending game devised by Peter Suber in 1982, and includes his canonical 29-rule ruleset as one of its options. The game and that ruleset are his work, reproduced here to play the game it defines. NomAIc is an independent implementation, neither affiliated with nor endorsed by him.
Stabmatic's factory chord forms are transcribed from the Roland MC-909 Owner's Manual, as a set of note intervals. We believe a chord voicing is not itself a copyrightable work, and that transcribing it for compatibility is fair use.
The short version: We emulate hardware and work with other people's gear and services. We name what we emulate and what we talk to. The names belong to their respective owners, not to us.
